In July 2012, The Creswick & District Aquatic Centre Inc was formed to begin working on the planning and development of an indoor, hydrotherapy and swimming facility for the use of all residents and visitors to the Hepburn Shire.

Statement of Aims:
- To generate support for the establishment of an indoor, heated swimming pool facility from within the Creswick district population and Hepburn Shire.
- To lobby for support from government departments, political representatives, local council, sporting and service organisations.
- To seek funding for the establishment of the swimming pool from all available sources including local, state and federal government and philanthropic organisations.
- To establish a facility which provides opportunities for all ages and abilities within the Creswick district to engage in healthy exercise, rehabilitation and social interaction
- To provide district residents with an indoor swimming facility which can serve future generations by having flexibility for expansion and adaptation
- To contribute to the growth of the Creswick sports hub by providing a facility that can be used by local and visiting sports clubs and tourists.
- To provide swimming lessons for school groups, training for athletes and hydrotherapy for senior citizens, disabled persons and those requiring rehabilitation.
- To offer annual memberships as well as ‘pay per visit’ and allow district residents to participate in Committee and Management roles.
